That's an ENTP right there... If anyone knew.
I remember discovering Circle of Dust as a teenager in the 90s. Completely blew my mind.
💜💜💜💜💜💜Lacuna coil
Jesus. To survive through that clusterfuck of a show... No wonder Bret is the way he is. :) I'd be traumatized as well
I drank whiskey with this guy once, in Hammerjack's bar in Youngstown Ohio. \m/RIP\m/
Wow! This video brings back a ton of memories. If it was Thursday, we went to the “Shack”. 35 cent long neck Miller High Life’s, Foosball, Back bar with a pool and plenty of pretty ladies. At that time, Columbus and TOSU was said to be the Sopor capital of the country and I believe it. Placidyl’s were much easier to find than 714’s. When I first started going there Pure Jam was the usual house band….The GODZ really shook things up. Raw Rockers! They kicked ass. I’m so glad I was telling a very young coworker about 714’s. It led me to re-enjoy the GODZ. Does anyone remember Strongbow? I think they played at the Castle or Agora? Thanks for posting. Ciao!
In case you are still in the Cbus area, Strongbow will be doing three reunion shows at Natalie's Grandview on August 14th and 15th. One or two of the shows are already sold out. Bob Hill, first guitarist for Strongbow and former Godz, won't be coming back for the reunion shows. He's living the life down around Texas and Louisiana. Mark Chatfield, former Godz, will be doing a reunion show with his former Rosie bandmembers on November 26th at King of Clubs.
Both Strongbow and the Castle were just slightly before my time. Think I was about 13 when the Castle became Zachariah's. But I remember the Sugar Shack, Mr Brown's, the Agora and so forth. From about age 15 we were occasionally able to sneak into campus bars. But usually only two or three of us. First time I saw the Godz live was when they opened for BOC at the Fairgrounds Coliseum in 1978, age 15 then. Already had their vinyl though.
I remember those days well
You need to collaborate with Emma Anzai again... she is awesome
R.I.P. Eric Moore
I'm here to find out how to pronounce the band name
I hung out with Eric Mark and Erics body guard back in the early 70's. I met so many people and musicians. At the time they were on tour with Blue Oyster Cult Angel and a band called Be Bop Delux. They had an awesome tour bus and I can't begin to tell you have much fun we had. They were hard partiers and so on but they were very respectful and never treated anyone badly. I was with Eric when he bought these awesome snake skin boots downtown Columbus one day while getting a couple of roadies out of jail. lol. That night they were playing in Newark Ohio it was New Years Eve. It's hard to ever forget that day. Eric came out on stage half naked with those thigh high snake skin boots on and said. This is for all of you Narc's out there and proceeded to eat a couple of 714's. Ludes. It was so frigging cool. He was also a pretty darn good cook. Very sad loss here for sure.
Did he get the boots from ZEEE ZEEEE BOOOOTS! Or should I say SLEEE ZEEEE BOOOOTS!?
RIP GKAR Eric Moore
@@paulj0557tonehead I can't remember the name of the place. Eric was living in an apartment behind Sun TV on MorseRd with his then gf Bunny. They were good people for sure. I niss those days sometimes. I've not seen any of them in a very long time and it's sad to hear of Eric's passing.
@@paulj0557tonehead I don't remember the name of the store but I remember the boots.lol Eric was a very cool guy and at the time he was living with his then GF Bunny off of Morse rd behind Sun TV. She was a very nice and super pretty girl.
Eric grew up down the road from me in Congo, Oh (Perry Co.) by his uncle George Wyzenski. We had no clue until one night at The Charlie Horse in Lancaster, Oh.. Eric was talking in between songs and asked, “ Are there any Perry County Godz fans in here?” We was front row, and screamed “Hell yes.!!”. Eric replied, “I’m an old Perry County boy, born and raised in Congo.” We bout shit.! So we began chasing down who his family was.. and some very reliable sources told us that he was raised by his Uncle George Wyzenski..A few years before Eric passed, he was at my good friend and fellow drummer Rich Reynolds house to jam a little. I wish Rich would have called me.! I wanted to tell Eric The Godz was the first concert I ever attended at Secrest Auditorium in Zanesville, Oh. After watching many different members play for The Godz, our band Kony Lyngys had the privilege of opening up for The Godz at The Big Apple in Crooksville, Oh. We grabbed the moment and rocked that night. Eric loved us.! He and Matt Meese(?), the drummer at the time, wanted KonyLyngys to be they’re opening act all over the region. Unfortunately, day jobs, raising children and racing harness horses consumed all my time and my fellow band mates time. But I always wonder.. what if..We had over 30 original tunes that I felt were absolutely great songs. They were born at practice, with Jack Quinn starting a riff on guitar, then Scotty Barnes, our never at a loss for lyrics front man, would begin singing words to the dynamics of the riff.. then me and Jim Hudak or Rob Irwin, two bass players that replaced each other thru the years, would creat the heartbeat of the new song.. and by practice end, we had a new tune. Some took longer then others because of the changes or bridges of the song, but some were quite tough to learn. Just getting all the breaks into one’s head to k ow where it was going. We started the night that we opened for The Godz with a grungy original called The Wizard. When I actually focused my eyes on the front row, there was Eric, head banging with our front man Scotty. Eric insisted we close out with “ Play that first song y’all opened with.!” So Eric stayed there in the front row with that wild look he would get but a big grin on his face. That was the moment that had come full circle to me.. from a screaming 14yo kid at Secrest in the balcony, to seeing Eric in the front row rocking with us, as so many times at The Charlie Horse and Alrosa Villa, where I am awaiting a DVD copy of the all original Godz and Molly Hatchet that I recorded on VHS from the Alrosa Villa. The tape was brittle, and I had to pre-pay for a company that uses a different way to transfer the content. It’s coming.!
this lad is a legend, his music is so fuckin good
Been listening to this man's music since I was a teenager with 'Circle of Dust' / 'Argyle Park' then Xtian break to utter greatness. Talk about a godly (too soon? lol) legacy
Why am I not amused... "Maybe I wrote it about my dog, I don't have a dog"... I'm going to beat around the bush on my inspirations because they aren't mine? I hope you're listening!
Eric has such a soft voice lol
He is sweety 😍
Gonna be a sad day when both this guy and Trent Reznor have left this world.

the broken leg was from a dune buggy accident, I did sound for a gig in Lancaster with a band called American Dog and they had Eric Moore on for a full set, they played several Godz tunes and it was epic, I had my PA dam near wide open in that place, , I thought the roof was gonna come off, great memories

He's dead. RIP.
@11:49 ... Are the reflections in his sunglasses an image of his band Ridin' in on Harleys ?
Rest in Peace Eric Moore
Just a sad note here; Eric Moore of the GODZ has passed away. There was to be a tribute fest after finding out Eric had fell very ill. It was unfortunate that the Fest ended up turning into a Memorial for Eric. If my time line is correct he passed away about 1/2 hour before the first Fest band was to go on. His friend, Mike Hannan made the announcement of his passing surrounded by family. To all you Machines out there; everybody is some kind of junkie .... but now we are all GODZ!!!
Thanks. I bought their Nothing is Sacred vinyl album and saw them in 1977 opening for Angel in Philadelphia as a 16 year. I have to say that Eric was the coolest MFer I ever saw. The problem was I knew he was not destined to live long. RIP to the Real Leader of the R&R Machine..
Just discovered celldweller cant believe he's 55 holy crap great music!!!!
